The Qalipu Business Network makes its official launch today, July 12th. This QBN database of business owners is the next progression of Ginu, our membership database. There has been a tremendous uptake in the interest in Ginu this year, as we have undertaken a three month promotional campaign to update member profiles. We have had approximately 14,000 profile updates since February of this year, with members completing the education, training and work experience section of their profile. We have already had several calls from employers wishing to access specific labour force information.

We hope to carry this momentum along to the QBN database. To the general public and the larger business community, the QBN will serve as a directory of Qalipu member businesses. To members, it will provide a means to network with like-minded entrepreneurs, and access programs and services offered by the Band.
